Our team is one of a dozen high school based teams who competed to raise money for

Students of the Year program through LLS.

We were trying to reach one thousand donations to show the power of our community and how we can beat cancer if we all join the effort together!

We did it!

Thanks to your support we met our goal and reached over 1000 donations to our campaign!

Meet the team!

So why 1,000?

We were inspired by President Bush's "Thousand Points of Lights" campaign for community volunteerism.  Also, after learning that his daughter Robin died at a young age from leukemia, it seemed to be a fitting tribute to make our own goal to inspire a 1,000 people to help our cause and create a community effort to help battle cancer.,  By helping to fund the research behind new cancer treatments, we can all contribute to the battle.

“We can find meaning and reward by serving some higher purpose than ourselves, a shining purpose, the illumination of a Thousand Points of Light…We all have something to give."    President George H. W. Bush

Our challenge is over! It went through Sunday Mar 31, 2019. We hoped to inspire a thousand different people to donate and we were able to reach this milestone with the support of our communities, thank you!
